I cannot believe it’s been so long since my last blog post!! Now I have too much to tell you and don’t know where to start. So this post is actually just an informative one, to let you know about two exciting events I have lined up before we say goodbye to 2025, and welcome in 2026. The first is an open studios day on Saturday, 6 December, 11-3pm, where six of the artists in my building (including myself) will be opening their studio doors at Fletcher’s Mill, Dean Clough, Halifax. It’s the first time we will have done an open studio as a collective, and we hope to repeat it in 2026 if successful.
I’ll be showing some new pieces, works in progress, and have available to purchase, small pieces on paper from £40 in a little studio sale, and some greetings cards too. With a glass of mulled wine, mince pie (or tea/coffee), it should be a very warm and festive affair. Oh, and it’s FREE parking at Dean Clough at the weekends too! Win win!
Closely following the open studios, I have an exhibition opening at the Long Wall Gallery, Globe 1 at Holme Mills, Huddersfield. It’s particularly exciting as will be showing recent works alongside my most favourite potter, Alison Wren Ceramics. The exhibition runs from 6 December 25- 14 February 26. The private view will be taking place from 2pm on Saturday 13 December at the Long Wall Gallery, Globe 1, Holme Mills, Huddersfield.
I promise to write more news soon - something about how things are going, what ideas I’m working on and all that. In fact, I’m already planning it now… Hope to see some of you at the upcoming goings on xx
